Our alumni community and network are growing day by day and have reached 10K members. Some of them decided to organize small groups (chapters) to keep in contact or build professional collaboration with each other. In 2022 our alumni volunteers launched 6 different new alumni groups (4 local and 2 professional) giving a chance for the members to join. In our new column, we collected the newly developing chapters, launched by our volunteer, and feel free to join them!
Mobilizing a daily growing alumni community is continuous work and there are many opportunities to join these small groups (chapters) and develop them with your ideas! We began our column with the introduction of the Nigerian-Hungary Alumni Association and the Azerbaijan-Hungarian Alumni Union (AHAU) then later you could participate in the Alumni Connect event organized by the GiLE Foundation.

Water Resources Professionals
The group is organized by Sarkhel Hawre Mohammed, who graduated from the University of Miskolc holding a master’s degree in Hydrogeology Engineering, and he is currently doing his Ph.D. at the same university and professional field. As humanity is facing climate change and many issues related to water resources and the environment, it is time to take responsibility by using the knowledge in the field of water resources to come up with new innovative ideas and recommendations.
The Water Resources Professionals community group invites you to join, where scholars from all over the world who have gained experience in Hungary can improve their level of knowledge, get updated information about the latest research problems, and cooperate through different research projects in Hungary and in other countries.

Turkish Alumni - Hungary
The group is organized by Berkay Senkalfa from Izmir, Turkey. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering at the University of Debrecen in Hungary between 2017-2020 and he organized the Turkish Alumni – Hungary group in 2022. The aim of the group is to strengthen the professional and personal ties between Turkish alumni of Hungarian higher education institutions and to provide opportunities for academic, business, and personal networking between Turkish alumni and Hungarian, as well as other international counterparts. The core team has a Facebook group where you can join them to organize a virtual or personal meeting. The group is looking for new members who can help with social media post-writing and internal community building.

Yemeni Alumni - Hungary
Abdulrahman Abdulqawi, one of the Yemeni alumni who studied in Hungary between 2017-2022 and majored in Computer Science and Engineering organized this group in 2022. He created a Facebook page called "Yemeni Alumni - Hungary" to be a home for all the Yemeni students who studied in Hungary or work here. On this page, their aim is to create a space for all the Yemeni alumni, so they can connect with each other, and share their experiences! They also plan to organize a brainstorming day for future programs and meetings with Yemeni seniors who studied in Hungary. The group needs some people who can help with facilitating the group, social media post writing, and internal community building.
